Connect MeasureSquare to your AI assistant

Use the public Beta server for starter workflows. MeasureSquare sign-in authorizes CRM access automatically.

Add the MCP server

Choose your client, add the Beta URL, and complete the MeasureSquare OAuth sign-in. No bearer token or client secret is needed.

Choose your AI assistant

Select Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, or Copilot for exact setup steps.

Claude (web or desktop app)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.
  2. Name it MeasureSquare Beta, paste the URL below into Remote MCP server URL, and click Add. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty.
  3. Click Connect next to the new connector and sign into MeasureSquare.
  4. In a new chat, click + in the message box, open Connectors, and make sure MeasureSquare Beta is on.
https://mcp.measuresquare.com/beta

Team or Enterprise plan: if Add custom connector is missing, an owner adds the URL under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web; you then just click Connect on it.

Using Claude Code in a terminal instead?
claude mcp add --transport http measuresquare-beta https://mcp.measuresquare.com/beta

ChatGPT (web or desktop app)

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Back in Apps & Connectors, click Create.
  3. Name it MeasureSquare Beta, paste the URL below into MCP server URL, set Authentication to OAuth, tick I trust this application, and click Create.
  4. Sign into MeasureSquare when prompted.
  5. In a new chat, click + in the message box, choose More → Developer mode, and turn on MeasureSquare Beta.
https://mcp.measuresquare.com/beta

Plans: Developer mode is not offered on the Free plan. On a Business or Enterprise workspace, an owner must allow custom MCP connectors before Create appears.

Using Codex in a terminal or IDE instead?

Add this to ~/.codex/config.toml, then run the login command.

[mcp_servers.measuresquare-beta]
url = "https://mcp.measuresquare.com/beta"
codex mcp login measuresquare-beta

Grok (web, iOS, or Android)

  1. Go to grok.com/connectors, click New Connector, then choose Custom.
  2. Name it MeasureSquare Beta, paste the URL below into Server URL, and click Add Connector.
  3. Click Save & Connect. If Grok shows an OAuth form first, leave Client Secret blank and keep the prefilled values.
  4. Sign into MeasureSquare in the window that opens.
  5. In a new chat, turn on MeasureSquare Beta in the connectors menu.
https://mcp.measuresquare.com/beta

Grok Business or Enterprise: a team admin adds the connector first at console.x.ai → Grok Business → Connectors → Add Connector → Other. Members then connect it from grok.com/connectors.

GitHub Copilot in VS Code

Only GitHub Copilot inside VS Code works with this server. Other Copilot products cannot add custom MCP servers.

Copilot versionStatus
GitHub Copilot Chat in VS Code 1.99 or later (stable or Insiders)Supported
GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio, JetBrains, Eclipse, Xcode, or the Copilot CLINot tested
Microsoft Copilot (Windows, Edge, the Copilot app, copilot.microsoft.com), Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot on github.com, Copilot coding agentNot supported
  1. On Copilot Business or Enterprise plans, your administrator must allow MCP servers in the Copilot policy.
  2. Run MCP: Open User Configuration from the Command Palette and add this server:
{
  "servers": {
    "measuresquareBeta": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.measuresquare.com/beta"
    }
  }
}
  1. Save, click Start and Auth above the server, then sign into MeasureSquare.
  2. Open Copilot Chat in Agent mode and enable the MeasureSquare tools.

Another MCP client

Add the Beta endpoint as a remote HTTP server. Clients that support MCP OAuth with PKCE and dynamic client registration discover the login automatically.

2

Add Cloud access if needed

Your MeasureSquare sign-in already authorizes CRM. You never need to find, copy, or save a CRM Bearer token.

Ask your assistant: "Check my connection and help me add MeasureSquare Cloud."

Or add the Cloud key yourself:

Cloud API Key

In MeasureSquare Cloud, copy Group Settings → API Key. If you can’t find the API key, ask your Group Admin to get it for you.

Save the key

Each user who needs Cloud access must complete this step in their own account. Open https://mcp.measuresquare.com/account, sign in with your own MeasureSquare account, paste only the Cloud API key, and save. This connects the key to that individual account.

3

Verify

Run connection_status, crm_whoami, and cloud_whoami.

Run whichever tools your connector exposes. Replace a missing Cloud key on the account page; reconnect the MCP server if CRM authorization needs renewal.

Troubleshooting

MessageFix
cloud_creds_missingSave your Cloud API Key on the account page.
crm_token_missingReconnect the MCP server and complete the MeasureSquare sign-in.
crm_token_expiredReconnect the MCP server so MeasureSquare can renew CRM access. If only one action fails this way while others work, that CRM service does not accept the MCP sign-in yet.
crm_forbiddenYour MeasureSquare role or organization lacks permission for that action. Reconnecting will not help; ask a CRM admin.
cloud_auth_failedCheck or regenerate the Cloud API Key.
